Sight & Sound: A Visual Metaphor

Ongoing Exhibition.  Sight & Sound consists of selected paintings and sculptures from the museum’s permanent collection that provide a glimpse of the simultaneous revolutions in art and music that occurred during the twentieth century. Viewers can experience art with the added enhancement of music to gain an understanding of the liberation from traditional forms that transformed both modern art and culture. Newly acquired works have been added to Sight & Sound: A Visual Metaphor by artists Elmer Bischoff, Max Cole, Channa Horwitz, Frank Lobdell, Allan McCollum, Don Sorenson, James Kelly, Sonia Gechtoff and, Wolfgang Paalen.
